For the past few weeks I have been feeling a little nostalgic. Maybe a little anxious but, definitely extremely grateful. It’s been a year since we arrived at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

On October 18th, 2016 we had our 1st. visit. Little did we know that they would change our lives for the better in just a few months.

This is the time of the year that people like to give thanks for all the things in their lives. As I sit here and reflect on all that we have been through this year, I can only keep thinking of every one of you that has helped us out in one way or another.

If someone were to ask me, “How in the world did we managed to keep things together?” I would not have a specific answer to that question. For every one of our struggles I think God placed the right Angel in front of us. At our lowest point God guided us to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. God put Dr. Nash and Dr. Cercik in charge of my wife’s medical team and all the great people from Nick at the front Desk at 53rd street and Emely one of the great nurse in the Chemo department. They gave us the strength, the energy and gave us the hope we desperately needed.

I have realized that for the most part people do not understand what a family really goes through while dealing with cancer, unless they are going through it themselves. Going through any illness put things into perspective. I have to say that we have been very lucky.

God’s Angels kept showing up in the strangest places. We got to meet people that we never thought would help us out spiritually and mentally. Facebook was one of these places that we found encouragement day in and day out. We would wake up and just look at the hundreds of positive and encouraging remarks people would write.

Strange as life is my passion and my life long love of baseball came to light. Mint Pros, its clients, and former baseball players all showed us support day in and day out. We are so blessed to have such good friends and family members that care so much for us.

We would like to Thank everyone for all your support, prayers, and well wishes. This year has been a rollercoaster ride to say the least. We are extremally blessed. We Thank God for all that he has done and for all that He will continue to do for us all.
