VOTE NO!! NYC ELECTION

THIS IS REAL IMPORTANT TO ALL NEW YORK CITY RESIDENTS.  DO NOT LET SPECIAL INTREST GROUPS HIJACK OUR CITY AND OUR HEALTHCARE.

PROPOSITION#1

Have you heard about the Constitutional Convention? On Election Day, New Yorkers will have a question on the back of their ballot asking if our state should hold a convention to re-write our state constitution. This may sound nice but in reality it may put some of our most worker-friendly state and city laws at risk!

Watch the video and hear from 32BJ members Richard, Jorge, Vie, Jose, Matilde and Basil as they tell us why YOU should vote NO on Proposition 1- the New York State Constitutional Convention.

The Constitutional Convention will be made up of special interest groups and corporations that will take advantage of the system and rewrite our state’s constitution to hurt workers and benefit themselves. This could put at risk state and local laws like the state minimum wage,  Paid Sick Days and much more! The people that would be part of the convention would be influenced by corporations and the rich and they would have the power to pick and choose changes to our state constitution that would benefit them and hurt working families.

Don’t be conned! On November 7th, we urge you to go out and vote “NO” on  Proposition 1- the New York State Constitutional Convention.

In Solidarity,

Héctor Figueroa 32BJ President
