It has been a month since the surgery and the recovery is coming along well. We are learning that with surgery comes new setbacks. We know that it will take time to fully heal but to be honest it seems to be going real slow.
There are times that I look at my wife and I wish I could take away all her fear and her frustrations. I see how hard she is trying to make herself feel better but her energy level only goes but so far. I am afraid that she might start to doubt herself. I know my wife is fighting each day. I know that she is trying her best. I see her determination in her eyes. I also know my wife is not one to give up. She is my true Hero.
We have good days as we have bad days. As you guys know when my wife had her surgery they put a port in her stomach so they can administer the chemo in a targeted area. This is done to make sure that there are no microscopic bad cells hanging around. Last week we had our first appointment with our Oncologist. My wife is now scheduled to have chemo twice a month. Yesterday was our first session. The first session is a 6 to7 hour long procedure. The second one should be much shorter.
We continued to pray as we know we still have a great battle ahead of us. We maintain in good spirits but like I said we have good days as we have bad days. We are looking forward to the days when all of this is behind us. We want to make sure that once we are done with all of this that we take time to help anyone that is going through something like this or has gone through something like this. As each day passes by we hear more about the people Cancer has taken away from us. I will like to also remember our survivors and their caregivers, family and friends that help each survivor get through every day.
I would like to again give Thanks to all of our family, friends, and all that have prayed for my wife wellbeing. We ask that you please continue to pray. The Power Of Prayer Really Does Works.
WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE !!!
