I keep hearing the same old song and dance from the people in the South Bronx. No one wants to take responsibility for their own actions and the blame game goes on and on. I would like to see what they are going to say when public assistance is abolished by President Trump. Who are they going to blame?
What is it going to take for people to get off their assess and start real change in their own communities? Hardworking people like me are tired of people abusing a system that was set up to help people better themselves. When I was born I was not promised anything except to live life and learn as much as I can. I am not entitled to anything.
I work hard for what I have and for what I want. Some people in my neck of the woods could care less who is running for President. A lot of them are even actually
saying that they won’t vote for anyone in this upcoming election.
I feel people take things for granted. They feel that all the lives which were lost by people who gave us the right to vote does not apply to them. For far too long I know people who do not have a job and yet they are always looking forward to the weekend and or vacation (REALLY?) . People who collect a monthly check from public assistance and complain about how badly the system treats them. Not one of them tries to better themselves or their families by getting an education or learning a trade to move out of the projects.
So if you wonder in January why Donald J. Trump is being sworn into the Presidency do not look too far. Look in the mirror. You were too busy looking for the weekend. If people do not vote then please do not complain. Enjoy your last few public assistance checks as President Trump will abolish your spending cash. Stop complaining and do something about it. Learn a trade, educate yourselves. Help your neighbors, and stop bringing people down. Leave the “he said, she said” behind.
The moral of this article is that we in the inner cities should learn to respect ourselves. We should remember a past when a lot of people died so we could have the right to vote. People died so we don’t have to sit in the back of the bus and if you think those days will never happen again. Do not be so sure on that. Something tells me
President Trump will make that happen quicker than you can say “IMPEACHMENT.”
I commend people who have made changes in their lives. Not all the people in the ghettos of America live this way. A lot of people have taken the first steps and moved out. I have friends and family who have made sacrifices for their families and moved to better their lives. Some people at a later age in life are going to school just so they can show their kids that they are willing to sacrifice. There is no excuse for people not to
better themselves. In life you get back what you put in. Go out and get involved in your community. Go out and vote. Do not hand the election to someone who’s going to make things harder for you and for me.
