It is time for real change. Our Country is getting ready for the Iowa Caucus.  This is where we separate the real voters and the poll takers. The polls have told us one thing and the Iowa Caucus will tell us another. Trump vs. Cruz and Hillary vs. Sanders.  Ok so maybe I am writing this as a pay per view event but we should have a better idea where people really stand. Good thing for one of the candidates  is that Megyn Kelly is not running to be a Presidential Candidate, as we know he would run and hide from her.

It does not matter if you’re a Republican or a Democrat. People in Iowa will have the first and loudest voice when they go out and vote. The guessing game will be over. Will Donald Trump come out victorious or will he come in third?  Will Hillary beat Bernie Sanders?  I wonder what our Presidential candidates will do if they don’t win this Caucus. I wonder if they will drop out of the race or will they look to run as an Independent?

All I ask people to do is to vote their conscience. Do not let the media or big business dictate the way you vote. One of these candidates will be our next President. With all the issues we have in our Country, this has to be the most important election in our history. We are looking for the person who will be able to unite and work with people on both sides of the isle. We do not need anyone who is going to divide us anymore. Remember most candidates will tell you things you want to hear but the reality is that they might have to get Congressional approval.

We all know that our kid’s futures are in limbo. Our economy needs some major rebuilding and our education programs really need some major work. In this election cycle I am looking for the person who is going to improve my children’s futures. I hope people in Iowa are looking at the same things. Our children should not have to pay for our mistakes. We should try to see who is going to look out for them.

For far too long all new Presidents spend the first two years blaming the past administration and the last two years trying to get re-elected. Nothing really ever gets done because either the President does not get along with Congress or Congress has a different agenda. I can’t stress this enough. People must remember that Congress holds a lot of power over any President. So when you listen to your candidates ask yourselves would they be able to pass what they want to do through Congress. Let us find a way to compromise with one another. Let us do our homework and vote for the right Presidential candidate. Let us not be followers and let us lead the way for the right choice for President.

  1. One other point is that we also elect congress. In addition state and local politics have immense influence on how resources are distributed and policies implemented. The Koch brothers and others have long decided that the presidential election is largely unwinnable by the right and have focused on local and state. Keep your eyes peeled.

    1. Eyes always peeled. That’s why I keep telling people not to let the media or big business dictate the way they vote. Local and state have large influence, but when a Presidential candidate tells people they will built a wall people have to realize that Congress needs to approve this. I don’t think many people know that. Just saying !!!

  2. I don’t think Clinton wouldn’t represent real change but she would be more likely to pass her legislation through congress than Sanders or Trump. I like your article though and it will be interesting to see who wins Iowa.
